Privacy & Terms

Last updated: November 2026

Part I: Privacy Policy

Effective March 1, 2026. Last revised November 2026.

1. Privacy Policy: who we are

In short: we are Trinket & Gift, an online gift shop, and this section explains what we collect and what we do with it.

Trinket & Gift LLC runs trinketandgift.com. You can reach us by email at support@trinketandgift.com, through the contact page.

This policy covers the whole shop: accounts, orders, wishlists, the Gifted rewards program, gift cards, the newsletter, and the Foundry maker application. If a specific feature ever shows you its own notice, that notice adds to this policy, it does not replace it.

2. What we collect

In short: we collect what you type into the shop, plus a small amount of technical data your browser sends automatically.

Information you give us

  • Account and checkout: your name, email address, shipping and billing addresses, and phone number when you order or create an account.
  • Orders: what you bought, when, and for how much.
  • Wishlists: the products you save, your list titles, and whether you turned a list's share link on.
  • Gifted rewards: your points balance and history, your tier and ribbon status, the public handle you choose (if you set one), and your referral code with a record of who signed up with it.
  • Birthday treat: if you opt in, the month and day of your birthday. Never the year.
  • Wallet: your wallet credit balance and its transaction history.
  • Gift cards: the recipient's name and email, your message, and the delivery date you pick.
  • Foundry applications: your name, email, phone, your pitch, and a link to images of your work.
  • Newsletter: your email address when you sign up.

Information your browser sends

  • Your IP address, stored with orders and used for rate limiting and fraud checks.
  • Standard server logs, such as browser type, the pages requested, and the time. This information is typically stored for 30 days and may be preserved for longer in cases of unusual site or user behavior.

Cookies and local storage

  • Session and cart cookies keep your cart working between pages.
  • Login cookies keep you signed in.
  • Your theme choice (dark or light) is saved in your browser.
  • If you type a ZIP code for a shipping estimate, it is saved in your browser so you do not have to retype it.
  • We currently run no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics cookies. Email sign-ups and store marketing run through our own internal tools.

What we do not do

We do not buy contact lists, and we do not add information about you from data brokers or other outside sources.

3. How we use your information

In short: to run your orders, your account, and your rewards, to keep the shop working, and to write to you only where you asked us to.

  • Place, pack, and deliver orders, and send receipts and shipping notices.
  • Send gift card emails on the delivery date you chose.
  • Run your account, wishlist, wallet, and Gifted rewards: points, tiers, and the birthday treat if you opted in.
  • Prevent abuse. For referral rewards, we compare limited order details, like IP address and shipping address, against your own past orders to catch self-referrals.
  • Send the newsletter, but only to addresses that signed up for it.
  • Answer your questions when you write to us.
  • Keep the shop itself running and fix what breaks.

You can unsubscribe from any newsletter with the link at the bottom of every email. Order receipts and account notices are not marketing; we send those because you have an order or an account with us. You can turn off the birthday treat in your account settings any time. Clearing your browser data removes the theme choice and saved ZIP code.

4. How information is shared

In short: only with services that help the shop run, and never sold.

  • Payment processing at checkout runs through Square. Card numbers never touch our database.
  • Shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, and USPS) receive the name and delivery address on the package so they can deliver it.
  • Our host stores and serves the shop. For more information, please fill out our contact form with subject HOST REQUEST.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If a law requires disclosure, we will comply with it, and if the business itself is ever sold or transferred, customer information would transfer with it as part of that transaction.

Two things are public by design, and you control both: a wishlist share link shows that list to anyone who has the link until you turn it off, and your Gifted public handle shows the handle you chose.

5. Your privacy choices

In short: you can see, correct, or delete your information, and stop marketing any time.

  • Your account page shows and edits your details. You can ask us to close your account by email or through the contact page.
  • To make a privacy request, use the contact page or email support@trinketandgift.com. You can ask what we have, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. We may keep what an order or the law requires us to keep, and we will tell you what we kept and why.
  • If you live in California, state law gives you rights over your personal information, including the right to know, delete, and correct it, and the right to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share it as the law defines those terms, so there is nothing to opt out of today.
  • How long we keep things: store records are kept for 365 days.
  • Security: passwords are stored only as hashes, the shop runs over HTTPS, and card numbers are never stored on our site. No online shop can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend to. If something ever goes wrong, we will tell affected customers.
  • This shop is not for children under 13, and accounts are intended for adults.
  • Changes to this policy: when it changes, the date at the top of this part changes with it. For significant changes an email will be sent to main emails on file.

Part II: Terms of Service

First published March 2026, revised November 2026. By continuing to use Trinket & Gift, you agree to these terms.

6. Using this shop: the terms

In short: these terms are the agreement between you and Trinket & Gift when you browse or buy.

By using trinketandgift.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the shop. The terms cover browsing, accounts, orders, wallet credit, wishlists, and the Gifted rewards program. Refunds and shipping have their own pages, and those policies are part of this agreement too: the refund and returns policy.

If we change these terms, the date at the top of this part changes. For significant changes we will notify users via email address on file. Using this site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

7. Orders, pricing, and payment

In short: your order is an offer; we accept it when we confirm or ship it; and honest pricing mistakes get corrected, not honored.

Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed sale. We accept it when we send a confirmation or ship the goods. Until then we can decline an order, for example when an item shows a wrong price or a product is out of stock.

Prices are shown at checkout and can change between visits. If we list a wrong price by mistake, we can cancel and refund that order rather than sell at the error.

You can pay with the payment methods shown at checkout, and with wallet credit you have earned in the shop. Wallet credit is shop money: it spends at checkout, and it is not a bank balance or a cash account. Card details are handled by the payment processor, not stored by us. You are responsible for the taxes that apply to your orders, and checkout shows the tax it calculates for you.

8. Shipping and returns

In short: delivery options and costs show at checkout; returns follow the refund and returns policy page.

We ship through major carriers, and what it costs and how long it takes shows before you pay. If a package arrives late, damaged, or not at all, write to us and we will make it right. For returns and refunds, the full policy lives on the refund and returns policy page.

9. Content, liability, and disputes

Limits of Our Liability

All site content copyright and intellectual property of Trinket & Gift. Owners reserve all rights.

You agree you shall not: use the shop or website to break the law, attack our site, scrape it using any automated tooling or "agents", or abuse the rewards program. We reserve the right to close accounts and cancel orders, rewards, contracts that come from abuse.

We sell our products with care and stand behind them. Beyond that, and except where the law says otherwise, the products come as described on their pages, and we do not promise fitness for any particular purpose. Where the law allows, our total liability for a claim is limited to what you paid for the order at issue.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of Nevada, where Trinket & Gift is incorporated.

10. Contact and notices

In short: one contact route serves both halves of this page.
