Refund and Returns

Overview

Trinket & Gift is happy to offer exchanges and returns on your purchase. Items purchased online are eligible for free returns within 30 days of delivery for domestic orders. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition and packaging received. For international orders, return shipping and customs/duties may be due before we can accept your return and generate a label. We reserve our right to refuse returns/refunds on a case-by-case basis.

To complete your return, you must login to your account and use our return portal. If you are unsure if you created an account, you can email your proof of purchase/receipt to support@trinketandgift.com . When your return is accepted, you will be emailed a label or given a drop-off point for your return. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 2-3 business days. You may want to allow your bank 5-7 business days to credit this amount back to your account. If you paid via gift card or store credit, you will be issued a new store credit, which will be available in your account within 4-6 hours of approval.

Refunds

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned due to local, state, federal safety restrictions and regulations:

  • perishable goods such as food/drink, flowers, newspapers or magazines
  • intimate or sanitary goods
  • hazardous materials or flammable liquids or gases
  • gift cards or store credits
  • health, adult, personal care items
  • downloadable software or digital gift cards or digital goods
  • Any printed media or book with obvious signs of use
  • Any physical media item (CD, USB drive, floppy disk, DVD, vinyl, cassette) that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts, for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

There are certain situations where only partial refunds or store credits are granted, in our returns portal, you will be notified if an item is not returnable or if you will only be issued store credits. A return is not finalized until we have approved the return and received the original item, if applicable.

Final Sale Items

Items marked as “final sale” and clearance are final sale, and we will not be able to offer a refund or store credit. All custom/personalized merchandise is final sale, this includes requested scents, colors, monograms, etc. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with a custom order, please reach out to customorders@trinketandgift.com so we can try to make it right.

Exchanges

If you receive an item that is defective, damaged, “dead on arrival” or has an error you did not expect, we offer free exchanges, please initiate an exchange through our return portal. Please note: you will be emailed a label to return the original defective item, and you must return the exchanged item within 14 days to avoid a duplicate charge.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return, you will be emailed a label to return the original gift item, and you must return the original item before your gift credit can be issued. The original buyer may be notified about the return, since the purchase may reflect “returned” in their account portal.

Shipping returns

You may use or re use any packaging you choose to pack the item(s), but we ask that you box the item(s) with bubble wrap, packing peanuts, paper or anything that cushions the item from damage. Trinket and Gift is not responsible for courier damage when you are returning an item, and if we receive broken/items back that are not marked that way, we may not approve your return.
